PP Filter element

PP filter element (also known as melt-blown filter element) is a tubular filter material made of non-toxic and odorless polypropylene (PP for short) as the main raw material through hot melt spinning, traction molding and other processes. Its core feature is the gradient filtration structure with sparse outside and dense inside. The fibers randomly form three-dimensional micropores in space, and the pore size gradually decreases from the surface to the inside. It can not only intercept large suspended particles (such as sediment and rust), but also capture tiny particles through deep filtration to achieve multi-stage filtration effect.

The filtration accuracy of PP filter element is wide (0.5-100μm), and different specifications can be selected according to needs, such as 1μm for fine filtration and 5-20μm for pre-coarse filtration. It has excellent chemical stability, can withstand strong acids, strong alkalis and organic solvents, and does not contain adhesives or chemical additives. It meets food-grade safety standards and is suitable for drinking water, pharmaceuticals and other fields. In addition, its high dirt holding capacity and low cost make it a common primary filtration component in water purification systems, which can effectively extend the service life of subsequent activated carbon or RO membrane filters.

In terms of application scenarios, PP filter elements are not only widely used in pre-filtration of household water purifiers, but also involved in industrial pure water preparation, electroplating liquid purification, coffee water treatment systems, etc. It is generally recommended to replace them every 3-6 months, and the specific period needs to be adjusted according to the turbidity of the water quality.
